Lun olive oil
of 1000 year old trees
Centenary olive groves
The groves of the Luner olive trees are a true oasis of peace and one of the most picturesque and beautiful corners of the island of Pag. Between the countless olive trees, about 1500 wild olive trees stand out for their uniqueness - Olea oleaster, 5-8 m high and with a diameter in breast height of 20-80 cm. This area of wild olives, stretching over 24 hectares, is the only one of its kind on the Adriatic and has a great botanical value. Due to its characteristics it was put under protection in 1963 and declared a botanical protected area. The project of the olive gardens of Lun was launched in 2010. The aim of the project is the protection of natural and cultural treasures as well as the promotion of the unique landscape
The cold pressed olive oil from Lun has absolute top quality and a very special flavor. Greenish yellow it flows out of the bottle - wonderfully fresh tastes and smells it after freshly cut grass, flowers and Steinobst, pleasantly bitter and nice peppery. On pager cheese - Paški sir - dripped it is a real highlight.
