This high quality cheese from the island Pag (Paški sir) comes from the family farm owned by family Vidas who has been making the cheese in a traditional way for 150 years now, without any additives, preservatives, chemistry. Ingredients are only sheep milk and sea salt. It tastes fenomenal, even better with a few drops of good olive oil.
Since only a little grass grows on the karstic ground of the island of Pag, the sheep mainly feed on wild and salty herbs, which gives the cheese its special aroma. It ripens for four to six months and is air-dried.
