Stina 2015 Posip indigenous varieties Pošip is a true gem and this is our white variety with the greatest potential. Working with this variety is both a pleasure and a great responsibility, because the results must be superior, depending on the potential of grapes. This wine is intense aroma, minerality and flavor, which with aging in the bottle is getting better. The grapes for this wine come from our new vineyard Grabica. In the cellar the grapes are further read manually on the table. This requires a lot of attention. The fermentation is conducted for the most part in stainless steel tanks where the fermentation temperature is tightly controlled. After fermentation, the wine is aged in stainless steel tanks 6 months while stirring on the lees. A portion (about 20%) is fermented in wooden barrels. This part remains in barrique barrels for 6 months and during this time is aged on its own lees. (S. Špiranec) The wine has a mature taste and rich and layered scent. The aroma is dominated by aromas of tropical fruits, especially pineapple, and a touch of peaches, Mediterranean herbs and vanilla. In the mouth it is fresher than the nose. The aftertaste is long life, with a touch of bitter salty as the final seal. Body and aroma of this wine is extremely heigh. It easily copes with baked fish, meat such as veal or marinated poultry.
